Mine Coal Bulk Material Conveying Solution Using ZR-SF Telescopic Stacker

In the mine coal production chain, traditional fixed stackers are limited by the single-direction stacking mode. A single unit only achieves a stacking efficiency of 600-800 tons per hour, which is unable to match the mining capacity of over 1000 tons per hour in modern mines. This forces coal to be frequently transferred to temporary stockyards, increasing transportation costs by an additional 30%. In terms of site utilization, most mine stacking areas have irregular terrain (such as rectangular areas of 50m in length × 30m in width or sites with a 2° natural slope). The fixed-path operation of traditional equipment leaves approximately 30% of the site idle, while expanding the stockyard faces challenges of high land acquisition costs and long approval cycles. For environmental compliance, the dust emission during open stacking can reach 25mg/m³, far exceeding the limit standard of 10mg/m³ in most regions. This not only brings the risk of environmental penalties but also results in a coal loss rate as high as 5%. Meanwhile, the equipment operation noise is ≥65dB, which easily triggers complaints from nearby residents.

Bulk Material Conveying Solution Centered on ZR-SF telescopic stacker (telescopic stacker conveyor)

Targeting the scenario characteristics of mine coal stacking, ZOOMRY proposes an integrated solution of "customized core equipment + modular auxiliary systems". With the ZR-SF series telescopic stacker as the core, supplemented by belt conveyors and unloading equipment, it builds a closed-loop system of "receiving - conveying - stacking".

ZR140SF Telescopic Stacker

Based on the mine's capacity requirement of 1000 tons per hour, the ZR140SF model is selected as the core stacking equipment. This model has a belt width of 1400mm, a rated stacking capacity of 2100m³/h, and a belt speed of 3.15m/s. It features ±120° radial rotation, a 10-20m telescopic stroke, and a maximum stacking height of 20m. Through the combination of "rotational coverage + telescopic adjustment", the utilization rate of irregular sites can be increased from 70% to over 95%, with a stacking capacity of 125,000 cubic meters, meeting the inventory demand for more than 30 days. The ZR140SF telescopic stacker adopts an 8-super-solid tire chassis and a hydraulic lifting system, which can self-adapt to a 2° natural slope. Combined with the optional anti-slip track, it solves the movement problem in muddy sites during the rainy season. A linkage system of a level detector and a hydraulic telescopic device is installed at the discharge hopper, which can automatically adjust the distance of the discharge port (adjustment range: 0.5-3m) according to the height of the material pile, reducing dust from height difference and material breakage.

Auxiliary System Configuration

The supporting equipment adopts ZOOMRY's integrated design to ensure system synergy: The 1400mm wide belt conveyor is responsible for conveying coal from the unloading point to the stacker. It uses 40Cr forged rollers (diameter 159mm) and quiet idlers, with an operation noise of ≤45dB and an energy efficiency rating K≥0.85 (10% better than the industry average), and is certified to the GB/T10595 standard. The ZRLS-TU1400 Wheeled truck unloader serves as the front-end receiving equipment, equipped with a hydraulic adjustable ramp and rubber skirt seals, achieving an unloading efficiency of 800 tons per hour and reducing dust emission during the unloading process. The environmental protection system adopts three-level control: A passive dust collector composed of an anti-impact sleeve and a filter bag is installed on the outside of the discharge hopper, controlling the dust emission concentration below 8mg/m³; a fully enclosed dust suppression cover is installed on the cantilever section to prevent dust during conveying; material baffles are added to the side of the base to avoid secondary pollution caused by material piles submerging the equipment.

Control and Operation & Maintenance System

A PLC+HMI control system is adopted, supporting multi-language operation interfaces such as Mongolian and English, and presenting core parameters (stacking height, telescopic length, equipment status) visually. The system has built-in presets for multiple stacking modes such as "herringbone" and "circular", while retaining the manual fine-tuning function to balance automated efficiency and adaptability to special working conditions. In terms of operation and maintenance design, a modular structure is adopted, and key components (such as idlers and hydraulic components) are quick-detachable. Combined with a remote diagnosis interface, the fault diagnosis time can be reduced to less than 2 hours.

Technical Advantages

With the mine coal bulk material conveying solution using the ZR-SF telescopic stacker, the high-capacity design of the ZR140SF increases stacking efficiency by 50%. After eliminating the temporary transfer link, it can save approximately 50,000 US dollars in transfer costs per month. Through full-site coverage via 3D movement, no additional land acquisition for stockyards is required, saving over 2 million yuan in land costs per project. The combination of passive dust collection and intelligent discharging controls dust emission below 8mg/m³ and reduces noise to within 55dB, not only meeting environmental standards but also reducing the coal loss rate from 5% to 1.2%. Based on an annual output of 1.5 million tons, this reduces annual loss by approximately 17,000 tons and increases revenue by over 2 million US dollars.

In terms of comprehensive costs, the project investment is only 60%-70% of that of fixed stackers with the same capacity, and it has multiple cost optimization designs: The equipment energy consumption is 40% lower than that of loader stacking; modular transportation saves 30% in logistics costs; the service life of core components (idlers, rollers) is ≥50,000 hours, reducing maintenance frequency. Especially for small and medium-sized mines, a phased construction model of "core equipment + basic supporting facilities" can be selected to further reduce the pressure of initial investment.

ZOOMRY Service Guarantee

ZOOMRY provides a full-cycle support system from solution design to lifelong operation and maintenance, ensuring the effective implementation of the solution. All equipment has passed ISO 9001 quality management system certification and international certifications such as CE, EAC, and KCS. Core parameters have passed third-party energy efficiency testing (energy efficiency rating K=0.88), complying with mine safety standards. With 20 years of R&D experience in bulk material conveying equipment, it has completed verification in over 500 mine projects worldwide and has mature adaptation solutions for special working conditions such as high temperature and heavy rain.

Spare parts warehouses are established in major mineral resource countries, with a response time of ≤48 hours for common components (such as idlers and seals). A 15-day customized training is provided, covering equipment operation, daily maintenance (such as setting idler lubrication cycles), and emergency handling (such as hydraulic locking operation during power failure), ensuring the mine team's independent operation and maintenance capabilities. ZOOMRY is committed to providing "5-year warranty + lifelong technical support", offering 1 free comprehensive inspection per year. Potential hazards are identified in advance through vibration detection and oil analysis, controlling the equipment failure rate to within 0.5% per month.

Application Value

Actual tests show that this solution is particularly suitable for small and medium-sized mines with an annual output of 1-3 million tons. Its core value lies in breaking the application limitations of traditional stacking equipment through "flexible adaptation" — it retains the site adaptability of loaders while having the efficiency and height advantages of large stackers. Actual operation data shows that after the implementation of the solution, the following can be achieved: stacking efficiency increased to 1200 tons per hour, site utilization rate reaching 98%, dust emission ≤8mg/m³, noise ≤55dB, and comprehensive operating costs reduced by 25%-30%.

Compared with standardized products of other brands, the customization capability of ZOOMRY's ZR-SF series telescopic stackers has more scenario advantages. Equipment parameters can be adjusted according to the mine's specific terrain, climate, and capacity requirements — for example, strengthening the hydraulic system power for high-altitude mines and increasing the waterproof level for rainy areas. This "tailor-made" design concept enables the solution to truly meet the actual operation needs of the mine, achieving the triangular balance of "efficiency, environmental protection, and cost".
