belt conveyor Idler
Essential components for stable, efficient, and long-lasting belt conveyor operation.
Product Overview
Idlers for belt conveyors are a necessary and essential component of the system. They are made up of one or more rollers that are held up or suspended by the proper frames and transoms. Belt Conveyor idlers are available in a variety of designs and configurations from ZOOMRY.
Two different styles of belt conveyor idlers are available: top carrying sets support the laden belt sections and move the material, while lower return sets support the belt's return segment when it is empty. Both types are engineered for durability, low maintenance, and consistent performance in demanding industrial environments.
ZOOMRY idlers are designed to reduce belt wear, minimize friction, and ensure smooth material flow across mining, quarrying, and bulk handling operations.
Product Types
1. Carrying Idlers (Top Sets)
Carrying idlers support the loaded Conveyor Belt and the material being transported. They are typically arranged in troughing sets of three rollers to form a trough shape, ensuring the belt maintains proper alignment and material stays contained during transport. Available in standard 20°, 35°, and 45° troughing angles.
2. Return Idlers (Bottom Sets)
Return idlers support the empty belt on its return journey. They are usually flat or V-shaped to help keep the belt centered and prevent spillage. These idlers are designed to handle the belt's weight without the additional load of material, ensuring smooth return movement.
3. Impact Idlers
Impact idlers are installed at loading zones where heavy material falls onto the belt. They feature rubber discs or rings that absorb shock, protecting both the belt and the conveyor structure from damage. These idlers significantly extend belt life at critical loading points.
4. Training Idlers (Belt Trackers)
Training idlers automatically correct belt misalignment. When the belt begins to drift off-center, the pivoting action of the training idler steers it back into proper alignment, preventing edge damage and material spillage. They are strategically placed along the conveyor length.
