The Wuxue Southeast Mining project is a typical “long-distance, multi-curve, large-angle” belt conveyor system in Central China. The entire route spans 8.6 kilometers, crossing hills, gullies and existing roads. It features 9 horizontal and vertical curves, with a maximum horizontal curve angle of 36°, imposing high demands on anti-deviation, special idler arrangements in curved sections and dynamic design. The project adopts an EPC + 8-year custody operation & maintenance (EPC+M+O) model, covering engineering design, equipment supply, civil works, installation and long-term O&M, ensuring high efficiency, low energy consumption and safe operation of the mine logistics system.
⚙️ Key Technical Solutions & Highlights
- Optimized spatial curve design — Finite element dynamic analysis to determine forced guiding idlers, transition geometry and belt stress control for 36° sharp turns.
- Anti-deviation & spillage control — Special five-roll idler sets, centralizing guide devices and automatic belt tracking system ensure stable operation over 9 curve segments.
- Long-distance drive configuration — Multiple distributed drive stations with soft-start and power balancing reduce belt tension and energy consumption.
- EPC + 8-year custody operation — Full lifecycle responsibility from design and construction to daily operation, maintenance, wear parts replacement and performance optimization.
- Real-time condition monitoring — Belt rip detection, temperature/vibration sensors on pulleys, and centralized SCADA for predictive maintenance.
